Stanford Abdominal Transplantation Surgery Graduates Two Fellows

Amanda Jensen, MD | Shinichiro Yokota, MD, PhD

Stanford Abdominal Transplantation Fellowship Program graduates two fellows this year: Dr. Shinichiro Yokota and Dr. Amanda Jensen. During their training, they focused on clinical care, research, and advanced surgical techniques in abdominal transplantation. Both will continue their careers in academic transplant surgery.

Shinichiro Yokota, MD PhD

Post graduation Dr. Yokota will be working as a transplant surgeon/Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at Oklahoma University Health Transplant Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. His practice will focus on adult liver transplants, kidney transplants, as well as pediatric kidney transplants. 

Amanda Jensen, MD

Post graduation, Dr. Jensen will be joining Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, as a pediatric abdominal transplantation and hepatobiliary surgeon. She will also serve as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at The Ohio State University. Her practice will focus on pediatric liver and kidney transplantation, hepatobiliary surgery, and TPIAT, while also contributing as part of the pediatric colorectal and reconstructive surgery team and serving as a pediatric general surgeon.
