Stanford Hosts ESOT 2019 via Livestream

September 23, 2019

Stanford University hosted a satellite meeting on Sept. 17th during the 19th Congress of the European Society for Organ Transplantation (ESOT). Delegates in Copenhagen and around the world were able to participate online as the session was streamed live. School of Medicine Dean Lloyd Minor was a key speaker and the Division of Abdominal Transplantation's own Dr. Waldo Concepcion was a moderator of the session.

Apropos of the conference's tagline—Inspiring Minds, Driving Progress—Dr. Concepcion started off by noting that the School of Medicine's goals and vision include the healing of humanity through innovation. Specifically, as Dr. Minor told attendees, the outstanding research and patient care at institutions like Stanford enable private industry to accelerate the process of getting discoveries from the laboratory into the marketplace of ideas where preventive, therapeutic, and diagnostic strategies are developed. The resulting products and services in turn are essential in advancing patient Stanford Health Care and around the world.
